LLDPE ProductsLinear low-density polyethylene (LLDPE) is a substantially linear polyethylene, with significant numbers of short branches. LLDPE differs structurally from conventional low-density polyethylene (LDPE) because of the absence of long chain branching. LLDPE polymer has a narrower molecular weight distribution compared to conventional LDPE and in combination with the linear structure offers significantly different rheological properties. The rheological properties of LLDPE are summarized as "stiff in shear" and "soft in extension". It is also resistant to low temperatures and ultraviolet exposure. LLDPE can be recycled for many applications, including fabrication of trash can liners, lumber, landscaping ties, floor tiles, compost bins, and shipping envelopes. It is used for plastic bags and sheets, plastic wrap, stretch wrap, pouches, toys, covers, lids, pipes, buckets and containers, covering of cables and mainly flexible tubing.
LDPE ProductsLow-density polyethylene (LDPE) is a thermoplastic made from the monomer ethylene. Despite competition from more modern polymers, LDPE continues to be an important plastic grade. LDPE is widely used for manufacturing various containers, dispensing bottles, wash bottles, tubing, plastic bags for computer components, and various molded laboratory equipment. Its most common use is in plastic bags. Other products made from it include:
HDPE ProductsHigh-density polyethylene (HDPE) is a polyethylene thermoplastic known for its large strength to density ratio. It has a high crystalline structure, which makes it rigid, strong and can handle a wide range of temperatures. HDPE is commonly used in the production of containers of all types (including bins, boxes and various storage items), construction pipe (to carry gas, water and electrical cabling underground), food packaging (including milk bottles) and household goods (such as fences, pots, interior items and furniture). HDPE film also exists which offers a thicker and stronger alternative over LDPE film. HDPE is one of the most commonly recycled plastics around the world.
Polypropylene ProductsPolypropylene (PP), also known as polypropene, is a thermoplastic polymer used in a wide variety of applications including packaging and labeling, textiles (e.g., ropes, thermal underwear and carpets), stationery, plastic parts and reusable containers of various types, laboratory equipment, loudspeakers, automotive components, and polymer banknotes. An addition polymer made from the monomer propylene, it is rugged and unusually resistant to many chemical solvents, bases and acids. |
